Don’t think there was any structural reason for EvW divisions- outside of the ability to create all star teams.
I guess I’m too lazy to look it up but I thought OWL Grand Finals were division based like a World Series? Pacific vs. Atlantic? No? What was the point of separating them out that way? #NeedInput

first place in each division had round one byes in the playoffs. Then the bracket was reseeded based on record.

Theres also an all star game in a couple of weeks. I think overall it was just one of many things trying to inject a real sports feel to the league, similar to city and nickname based team names rather than esports orgs
