    Hosting provider Epik still claims it is unaware of any breach of its systems. Yet I'm currently looking at emails from CEO Rob Monster that include his phone number, Skype address, as well as some login credentials.

    Epik sent an email today about an "alleged security incident" but still has not formally acknowledged the data breach.

    A 40-year friend of a Capitol Police officer reported the officer for disclosing the secure location he evacuated lawmakers to on Jan. 6. The friend believed the officer was aligned with the rioters, per USCP discipline reports obtained by McClatchy.

    Rob, you just admitted that you've had knowledge for some time of your client's use of Epik's services to commit federal crimes. That client is now targeting the reporter who just broke adverse news about Epik, your company, which is illegal under WA criminal code RCW 9.61.260.

    Steve - I have no idea about anything written about you. What I do know is that you and I talked for ~15 minutes via phone last week about a non-story about Epik. You went on to publish pages of of nothingburger. Once again, not your highest self, but here's hoping!

    Can't stress how wild the ivermectin Facebook groups have become. So many people insisting to each other to never go to an ER, in part because they might not get ivermectin, but sometimes because they fear nurses are killing them on purpose "for the insurance money."

    Encrypted backups will be optional, and each user must turn it on to use it, which means you still won't be able to tell if your texts will end up getting saved unencrypted to the cloud because of someone else's settings... but still this is a major step forward

    One of the main issues with WhatsApp as a secure messaging app is that backups are stored unencrypted in Google Drive or iCloud. They're fixing it though using a new well thought-out E2EE cloud backup system!
