Texas anti-discrimination laws typically don’t cover LGBT people. You can be fired for being LGBT by a Texas employer for example.

Only recommendation I can give is to hold conferences outside of Texas and check state laws regarding LGBT rights.

I'm always glad to hear that the venue will follow CoC. The problem is people eat, drink, and live outside the venue during the conference.
