This is a huge deal. All K-12 student lunches will be free through spring 2022 I've written for years about "school lunch debt" that so many students rack up. Now no student will be turned away -- or be shamed -- for being unable to pay for lunch.

An expected temporary rise in inflation poses little risk. But leaving 10 million workers on the sidelines leaves lasting damage. Let's remember the dual mandate is price stability AND full employment.

They're killing big Black men & using our size against us. But these folks have never been big Black men. We make ourselves as small as possible in interactions with police to survive. They are trained to kill. We are trained to comport our bodies in a way that says we are weak.

Once I invited 2 URM mentees to see me give a talk & warned them ahead of time that "aggression is how they show interest". They were in shock afterwards & it led them to question whether econ was a good fit. Let's find a new way to "show interest".🙃

COVID isn't academic for BIPOC scholars. Our families are sick&dying. Hard to focus on panels/studies when you're dealing w/ 324 days of trauma. We're not lunching. We're working thru trauma & catching the wave of sudden interest in POCs. Chill! You'll still hit your media goals.
