Until #BlackLivesMatter, “all lives matter” can’t be true. The National Security Advisor doesn’t believe there is a systemic problem. And therein lies the problem of this merry-go-round that has now violently spun off its fulcrum. And he mentions apples.pic.twitter.com/qn1sJmG2mh

Will the ROOT of the problem that led us here be addressed? We all saw what we saw. It’s up to the people in charge to dismantle this. In the meantime...if you’re wondering why things are the way they are, make sure you understand the mentality of Minneapolis’s police union boss.https://twitter.com/EllenBarryNYT/status/1267062482868322304 …

Bob Kroll, head of Minneapolis police union, told an ACLU leader (after a fatal shooting) that he views community complaints against police like fouls in basketball. “He told me, ‘If you’re not getting any fouls, you’re not working hard enough,’” she said. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/05/30/us/derek-chauvin-george-floyd.html?smid=tw-nytnational&smtyp=cur …

There have been countless examples that should give us pause in watching how some officers have dealt with peaceful protesters, onlookers and my fellow journalists.https://twitter.com/chadloder/status/1266952661791674370 …

I saw officers in places like Flint, New Haven, Camden, Santa Cruz sending messages to protesters that they understood the pain and frustration of state-sanctioned violence. That message is needed...but only if there is action to back it. Because apples. https://twitter.com/JaydonPlayz/status/1267453288070471682/video/1 …

We should all want police brutality ended. At minimum, that would include justice, accountability, and reform in how people are selected “to protect and serve.” I, like many of us, haven’t gotten a good night’s sleep in a week. And, trust, it ain’t because I’m not tired.

On either case... Bad things happen when we use raw human emotions Instead of God given moral agency. That goes for rioters also.

I'm just imagining pilots with a routine record of crashing planes claiming that the passengers had to act accordingly. They would not be able to get that to fly past the airline employer (And not just because they keep crashing planes.).

Government makes money and avoids power struggles by keeping the poor and powerless, poor and powerless. It’s gross but we don’t have a true democracy despite having the internet in our hands allow us to make any statement we want but they want control and a check
