Hi All— Ohio will not be holding in-person voting (w/few exceptions) for the 2020 primary. Instead, voters will have to mail absentee ballots before April 28. This will almost certainly disenfranchise people who’ve never voted absentee and are now facing financial hardship.

(asking only with sincerity & concern) but what is the alternative? voting in person is too risky for public health. is there any barrier for obtaining an absentee ballot for disenfranchised people that i am not aware of
Give people a longer time period to vote (mid-may and early June were on the table) and allow the Secretary of State to mail out absentee ballot application forms to registered voters with prepaid postage, eliminating one step from the process.
This is democratically not allowed. This needs to go to court. So we have pandemic, then loose basic voting rights?

I sent off a request for one the same day as the primary was supposed to be held, then postponed. According to Dewine the primary was postponed until June. #Lawsuit
the lawsuit was finalized and this is now accurate information. all ballots will be done by mail. no in person voting.
