We’ve been at this for too long. In college, my classmates and I watched as we started the war in Iraq based on false information. Then working in DC, I saw how comfortable the liberal establishment was with continuing these ill-advised wars.
Our generation has grown up witnessing endless wars entered without care for the long, medium, or even short-term consequences—especially in the Middle East. I would not have voted to authorize Trump’s defense budget, which among other things facilitated this recent attack.
My opponent, however, did. Not all Democrats are created equal. If we want different outcomes for our generation, Congress needs a reset.
