I don't know what you said because there are no subtitles but the font used in the background really bothers me. The 'R' and 'P' are hard to read.
That's assuming that the political party doesn't consider itself a private organization with the right to choose it's own candidate. 
You would be correct if parties were non-hierarchical organizations, flat. But they are hierarchical. Decisions are made top down. Parties are hierarchical because some people invest more. You want active, contibuting members wielding most of the power.
They absolutely should hold a debate when someone shows they are a serious candidate—as you absolutely have!
in other words, they decided not to endorse you.
