Every prochoice person I know (admittedly few) thinks climate change is not man made, believes the 12 year estimate is a lie, and doesn’t think we are even seeing evidence of it yet.

Those are some weird pro-choice people you know

I’m definitely yet to meet a pro-choice Christian who doesn’t think there’s evidence that the climate is changing

To be fair, in my age group and region, religion doesn’t play a big factor… The folks I know who are pro-life are so for ethical reasons, but also could care less about someone’s sexuality, gender, and are very well-read on environmental issues.

What is the ethical reason to force woman who don’t have the means or emotional stability/maturity to have babies? Our government isn’t willing to provide food, shelter, or infant care for them. Our planet is facing over population. Their “ethical” lenses must be very narrow.

Well, you’re asking me to defend a position that I don’t hold, but I do respect and understand where they’re coming from. 1st, our government is willing, and does have programs, to take care of children. Ethically they simply don’t believe immaturity justifies “murder“.

Those programs do not cover enough to provide a stable life and are constantly being cut or threatened to be cut. Also, if that’s their take they are ignoring a large sector of those who actually get abortions and their reasons to do so. It seems more hypocritical than ethical.

Most of these people would also argue for more personal responsibility and better choices... who are they not thinking of and where’s the hypocrisy?

If that’s the case then would they support putting the responsibility on the men? We can perform vasectomies on all boys once they reach puberty and then they can have it reversed once they are ready to be loving, engaged fathers.

First point, of course... personal responsibility is not gender specific. Second point is obviously ridiculous as forced medical procedures have nothing in common with consequences of personal choices.
