So the fuck what. Basically all political content gets "demonetized."
Crowder's revenue stream isn't from YouTube ads. It's from selling merch and "Socialism Is For Fags" shirts to millions of loyal customers, that @YouTube continues to drive to his channel. For free.https://twitter.com/TeamYouTube/status/1136341801109843968 …

To clarify, in order to reinstate monetization on this channel, he will need to remove the link to his T-shirts.

Lolllll. I’m assuming any channel selling “pro-choice” gear will be demonitized, too, right? Since they promote lethal violence against the most defenseless & vulnerable humans?

They are humans. That has been answered by science. Whether they are a person is a question for the philosophers.

Proto humans, clearly. Since I have a philosophy degree and have written peer reviewed work in that field I guess I'll weigh in for all Philosophers: not yet a person.

If you have a philosophy degree then you know it's not an objective or universal field. There are plenty of philosophers who do believe it's a person, and many who don't. There are also philosophical definitions of personhood which newborns and toddlers do not meet.

Well. That's why I was poking fun at the initial assertion about "leave it to the philosphers", yeah.pic.twitter.com/R6flpsliMK

I think the point is more that making assertions about humanity shouldn't be part of the discussion, but it should be about personhood. There is an objective scientific definition for what it is to be living and human, and fetuses meet this standard.

Like all ethical questions, abortion and personhood are matters of philosophy. Making claims such as "a fetus isn't human" is simply inaccurate and undercuts the pro-choice position. Many people say they mean personhood when they say "human" but they are fundamentally different

It’s a human fetus...but it’s not a human being. Not yet.

They are human beings unless you are implying that human beings are the only animals which can be considered persons and not the hypothetical alien beings.
