Two SF women charged with robbing Walgreens, claiming COVID-19 infection https://www.sfchronicle.com/crime/article/Federal-prosecutors-charge-two-SF-women-with-15225281.php?t=e9fe0ea70d … Why are the feds prosecuting this? Shouldn’t this be our SF DA? Stoked that someone is protecting businesses from theft (fed prosecutor) but a bad sign if our SF officials aren’t.

Good question. Can
@chesaboudin and District 3 Supervisor@AaronPeskin explain to residents of North Beach why the city is not taking action? Is it because the city considers theft a quality of life crime and stealing less than $950 was decriminalized under California Prop 47?2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -

Hey, look. This isn’t a game, guys. My understanding is that feds will prosecute to full extent of law. This is beyond theft - we’re in a very serious pandemic where lives are at stake. This is bigger than local efforts. We need to make sure everyone knows u can’t do lightly.

Also it would be great if encampments were removed from residential areas. Instead we have to shelter in place while drug addicts and drug dealers take control of every neighborhood in the city. I can share more if you are interested
