In a bold move at 7.10 tonight, Sky Arts are showing Dinner For One, the 1960s British comedy short which is ritualistically watched at this time of year throughout Germany and Scandinavia, but remains almost unknown in the UK. High curiosity value.

🚨 Something that isn't about the election! 🚨 If you visited the Millennium Dome in the year 2000, and have any memories of it at all, I would absolutely love to hear them. Particularly if you went as a child. DMs open!

Trying to recruit anyone on Twitter who is interested in East Anglian history in all its forms. The higher the number of followers, the better it will work. RTs would be fab - as would Queries.

Just a reminder to please keep hold of any election leaflets you might receive in the run up to the general election and consider donating them to us. We can then add them to our huge archive of referendum and election leaflets which is available to all.

Random navy pictures at work, labelled "Bashford" on the back. Anyone have any idea what they are?

"The Balloon Seller at Mill Hill" by John Robert Reid RBA in 1898. He was one of several Scottish painters who created almost documentary-like paintings of rural life in Southern England.

I'm collating an oral history Blythe House, and I need a bit of help. Did you ever work at BH when it was the Post Office Savings Bank, or know someone that did? Any societies/ groups where former POSB workers may be members? I would *LOVE* to hear from you. Please RT!

Thanks to for pointing out to me that these railings I walk past almost every week are made from old WWII stretchers. Just shows there's history everywhere!

Wondering if anyone from twitter can help... i'm researching a straitjacket in the ScM collection & trying to find out how it would have originally been tied / fastened. Is there anyone out there who has studied straitjackets? / know of any trusted resources? Please RT

Archive mystery - can anyone help identify the buildings in these photos? All have a Cotswold feel... The first three are obviously the same location.

Poole, Dorset. Two excellent examples of pubs with glazed tile fronts (the town once had an important ceramic industry). I’d not seen a full end glazed like The Poole Arms before. Extraordinary; Listed Gd II. The Swan Inn (1906) has been threatened with demolition several times.
