Let me see if I understand, the officers were tasked with keeping the two groups separated, one group decided they were going to disobey police orders, officers stood their ground as directed, the group decided to assault the officers to get through them, am I missing anything?

Yep. The groups were already separated, and protesters have every right to stand on the sidewalk which is public space. No one assaulted police officers, instead the police moved in and pushed people who were standing there, choked them, and even took out batons.

This is clearly not happening on a sidewalk. This is happening in the street. It appears the officers are trying to clear the street. When you say it is happening on a sidewalk, but I can see for myself it is in the street I begin to question your honesty.

As I said, we were crossing the street, from the sidewalk. People were already on the other side of the street standing on the sidewalk there. They were also shoved forcefully across the street.

It’s also so they can attack cops without being identified. People who wear ski masks to protests should be arrested.

That’s not true at all. People who come out to protest are often marginalized and want protection from cops and bigots. People know they will be arrested if they attack cops.
