I hope the talks about a ledge grab limit don't just fade away this time. It's obvious that Hbox spaces out his planking abuse so that it's not as obviously broken to spectators (intentionally or not). I've tried bringing this up with TOs, hoping for more responses soon.

I was just a bit worried because ledge grabbing is a core mechanic. It’s a bit more than a dumb stage. They just need to be careful not to do too much.

I didn’t say it was dead. I was just expressing concern at messing with ledge mechanics. Those are tricky to get right. I’ve seen those band and agreed with them. This is just a more universally affecting one that will be harder to get right.
Other sports have created limits to combat anti competative tactics, ie in boxing you can get DQed for excessive clinching. Sports last when they are entertaining.

I’m just concerned for the game. I’m fine with limiting things if it does help, but no one wants people to become trigger happy and fall down that slippery slope.
The 3 second rule was introduced to basketball to "nerf" players in the center position so I dont see how a ledge grab limit can't be a thing too
