We are saddened by the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Our thoughts are with her family and all those affected by this news.
As a mark of respect during this time of national mourning we will only be posting daily forecasts and warnings.

The use of the word 'daily' in our earlier Tweet may have given the false impression that we’ll only be posting once a day.
It was always our intention to continue to provide forecasts and warnings for the days ahead, through Twitter, multiple times a day.

It is right at this sad time to pause other non-operational content that isn't a forecast or warning, to ensure the public can focus on any potential impactful weather during this period.
Apologies for any confusion.

This is a bit weird. There's no disrespect in continuing to do what you do. It is a useful and needed service for many in the country. The weather isn't going to pause.

They're simply going to be tweeting a bit less.. why is that so difficult to comprehend? They're still going to be forecasting.

Nice decision.
I know you’re getting a lot of hate in the comments right now, but it’s the respectful thing to do.

How simply extraordinary. Rather absurd. Whatever is disrespectful about a weather forecast? Discussing it our national pastime. Those of us intending to queue for hours at the lying in state of Her Late Majesty #QueenElizabeth wish to know in advance what conditions to expect.
