Indeed apparently multiple chains of ownership have already been set up for some digital artworks without specifying "200 copies," just minting the same piece multiple times?

Second thing I didn't realize about NFTs: there's not necessarily any legal documentation involved? It's just a transaction record, like a receipt, with a URL pointer to a media file that may or may not be broken. The actual IP holder (e.g. an artist) may or may not be involved.

And apparently, there are some NFT marketplaces that DO offer legal documentation that covers all the things you're not buying: a physical copy, intellectual property rights in the work, etc. You just get this receipt. Anyway yeah... (jazz fingers) NFTs

The upside? NFTs really are accessible for anyone to create, especially offline NFTs -- you don't even need the blockchain! Just get a receipt printer that does individually numbered receipts, and sell those -- they're non-fungible! You can put the name of an artwork on top

It’s worse than that. Even an NFT marketed and set up as truly unique or non-fungible is only so with respect to one blockchain. There are mutant blockchains doing NFT trades...

Lol I meant multiple blockchains. But mutant is better perhaps.
