You're not wrong, but this will always pose a question: where, exactly, do we draw the line on the progress of nihilism?

Progress of nihilism? As in the absence of Christianity (structure) or absence of meaning? Nihilism *is*, its progression is more complex illusions within consumerism (at the mo).
-
Progress as in "progress towards an apotheosis", which seems to be a goal of both acc and Nietzsche. The question is where you get off the ride.
-
Developing an exit or means for an exit is more important than a hypothetical apotheosis (imo). We will only understand the bridge to be crossed when we get to it, and by that point the 'we' will have changed drastically.
-
Absolutely but that can look a whole lot like communism, or even Enlightenment liberalism. In the long term nihilism wins (if through heat death if nothing else) but it's in constant conflict with pragmatism.
-
Communism is complete stagnation, I cant see how it looks like it at all. It would be acceleration of actors if anything, once again a *better* illusion.
-
It is, properly speaking, the subsuption of the process into the actors. So it's the first conception of acceleration. It's now clear that the actors themselves are insufficient but that doesn't rule them out as the central locus.
-
The recognition of humanity as non-stagnant is probably what communism is.
