Seen neither, but watching 'Mandy' tomorrow - can't wait! From 2018 I found Chang-dong Lee's 'Burning' excellent so far, but most good films I reckon become available towards the end of the year. Very much looking forward to Gaspar Noé's 'Climax'.

I'll check it out. Still need to go through Noé's work. Other ok 2018's were Annihilation, The Death of Stalin and Sicario 2. But that's about it.

Yeah, Annihilation wasn't bad (ns other two yet). Also Isle of Dogs and Anon were ok. Noé definitely among my fav directors, Irréversible and Enter the Void were two of the most viscerally intense cinematic experiences for me.

You seen Hereditary?
-
Yeah, it was fairly good. Didn't live up to the hype though.
-
I preferred it to Mandy, mostly because the demons were real.

Incidentally, why is this the only cinema in the entire state over here that is screening Mandy?pic.twitter.com/6skm7VaHZW

Leave No Trace has a gossamer beauty. No love for First Reformed?
