"[Land's] brand of social Darwinism as cosmological laws can effectively be debunked by an undergraduate in physics," Why not take some time to debunk it then? https://t.co/4KuYAwReFY

I don't want to drag this back into canonical lineage, but criticizing style is SO naive. Heidegger's utilisation of new language (Dasein etc.) - or even, reappropriation of language - was/is a means to escape the confines of pre-established system.

To criticize one's style for being libidinal, poetic, cybernetic etc sounds like a lazy frustration that one's work doesn't fit neatly into the classic 'academese'. The idea also of suffocating the work back into the '70s cybernetics' is just another example of this.

70s Cybernetics, Marx-Freud superhighway, Lacan-Hegel-Marx Zizekianism etc etc. Apathetic and lazy academics attempting to align a work they've not put the effort into understanding with their preconceived notion of 'real' philosophy.

I gave it a read, he talks about the style again in relation to the youth's interest in Land.
