This idea that 'self-care' and self-improvement is Capitalist propaganda is not a view I agree with but: If so, when _do/will_ leftists begin to take responsibility of themselves, what external environment is needed for them to accept some (most) self-faults are their own?
They're benefiting from a capitalist system. Not sure they're pronouncing that one should be an overt capitalist though? (Peterson's emphasis on career is irksome for sure.)

The way to begin to frame self-care in leftist terms is to acknowledge it is a collective endeavor as much as a personal one. No idea how to accomplish that at a time when we're all "bowling alone"... but the digital infraestructure for it already exists.

To a certain extent 'self-care' _could_ be collective. Up until one wishes another to follow a certain path. Carl Rogers - I think - found that one can't help someone who simply does not want to be helped. What is the collective to do then?

And do you believe a collective network of support could alter a personal impetus?

Agreed. So, as per your initial comment, how would you remove self care from the capitalist machine whilst retaining the reality of personal impetus?
