Three Billboards is on balance my favourite film of those I've seen this year so far, and it is also far and away the most misunderstood. I might actually write a lengthy defence of it at some point.

A lot of people, usually knee-jerk moralists, really got the wrong end of the stick when it came to the films message, interpreting it's moral grey areas and focus on individual characters rather than politics as justification for their immoral beliefs, words or actions.

Not that I'm saying they're not allowed to dislike it, I just feel the moral issues many took with it were misguided
