Schopenhauer's work evolves very linearly. So either begin with On the Fourfold Root of the Principle of Sufficient Reason and then continue chronologically. Or read Essays and Aphorisms for a taster.

It's fine. Just disconnected from the whole. Which is somewhat frustrating as Schopenhauer's system - as seen by him at least - is complete.
