Compiling a reading list for 'philosophy of capital' what would you put on it? (For example: Kapital v1-3, Capitalism & Schizophrenia, Libidinal Economy etc.)

the texts you mention are against capital, a philosophy of capital has to understand the ideologies that support capitalism, surely ?

Most definitely. By philosophy of capital I meant texts dealing directly with capital in some form and not necessarily pro-capitalist texts (not that I have a problem with that). You mention Hayek etc. - definitely of interest - but are primarily economists and not philosophers.

True, there is a difference between people writing for and against... the third way was and is always for capitalism.

Third way? For and against capitalism are both still linked to capital though. In the same way that a non-ethics is linked to morality, that's its pole.

so its a question of ideologies and discourses then? A critique of capital cannot be a pure critique only a partial one ?

Discourses, philosophy and theory relating to capital. A critique of capital is more than likely going to be partial yes.

the 'of' in your original statement surely makes a partial critique inevitable ? as a pure critique, Marx's work for example requires negation...

I meant it like Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Science Philosophy of History - of Education - of Language - of Religion. Philosophy pertaining to the subject I mentioned. Books, wherein the words within are related to the study of capital.

I wasn’t sure whether you meant capital or capitalism (as in mode of production), seems clearer now
