.@WilliamAEden @diviacaroline as community fasting experts, what do you think I should have done differently?
Dizziness happens with fasts, mostly for beginners and usually after standing up quickly. What you experienced will probably go away as you fast more. Your body becomes less glycogen dependent/learns to feed off its own fat (tho if you weren't hungry, maybe this already happened)pic.twitter.com/GbAGWxT1Zi
I was dizzy even sitting in one place! It was a trippy experience. Not bad, just.. altered.
Were you going for 3 days on the first one? I would do a couple 36 hr ones first to get your sea legs
Impatience and over-ambition, I guess! I'll start with a 36 hour one for the next few tries.
Oh, rereading it seems like maybe you didn’t check your blood sugar. One thing I recommend is getting some blood glucose strips and monitoring blood sugar.
Also it helps to go into fasts fat-adapted—do you think you were? This stuff is complicated!
Next time, maybe have some MCT oil around and take a bit when you want to push further. It's highly ketogenic and can bounce you off the bottom metabolically without adding significant calories.
