Any sane person would cry, yell, and move in response to the emotions on stage. Death, fighting, infedelity without pause. It's non-stop.

This is the first time in my life I appreciated applause as more than annoying. In a crowd, it's the one allowed and encouraged form of emotional release that scales well

Or we'd be stuck carrying pain and grief that, while not real, was masterfully delivered on the railgun of empathy towards us simple bystanders quietly stuck in assigned seating
