Religious Education teachers must be guaranteed training in a new area & guaranteed jobs. A transition to religion-free schools is not an option now. The vote was love v hate. For Magdalenes etc. The church and any church, any religious institution or symbols of them MUST go NOW.

It's years since Nenagh was identified as an area requiring a non-denominational school. Why the delay?

There are no non denom primary schools - presume you mean multi-denom such as Educate Together and Gaelscoileanna under the patronage of Foras.

Every recent poll finds that a good majority of Irish people no longer want denominational schools. If areas were selected by using the census, that is very wrong - results of Religion question don't even give true picture of religious practice, & certainly NOT school preference.

Yes. Very poor response rate. Which generally indicates people are happy with the status quo. I hope more people engage this time. It’s time for more divestment and then people who choose a catholic education can have a catholic ed. Instead of the watered down version we have now

No. It indicates the government is lazy, the church has a firm grip, the government is unwilling to prosecute the church for crimes, and parents can't imagine another system cos this is all they've known. NO religion in schools is the answer.

Disagree. In order to be fully inclusive we need schools to cater for children off all faiths and none. Ireland has a rich heritage and tradition of faith schools and I want my children in catholic schools. Divest schools and let people choose.

Faith has NO part in the national education system. Institutions have used 'God' as an excuse for wars & torture so as to gain power throughout history. Children have a right to be free of their influence.
