President Trump on a trade deal with China : “Last night very late in the night, the Vice Chairman of China came out that he wants to see a deal made...and China’s taken a hard hit over the last months.” “I believe they want to do a deal, the tariffs have hit them very hard.”
The president did not say he had phone calls from the Chinese like he said earlier today — he said he saw “breaking news” last night about the Chinese Vice Premier’s desire to restart talks “under a condition of calm.”
