Here in the press pool on the way to Hackberry with President Trump’s motorcade. As reported to the pool, the motorcade slowed because two police bikes appeared to have crashed. I saw 2 officers standing & being tended to with very bloodied arms as we drove by. Asked for update.
Update from @PressSec: “Today, three motorcycle officers from local law enforcement were injured in an accident while traveling with the President’s motorcade. All three are being treated for injuries at a nearby hospital and are in stable condition.”
So what made the 2 motorcycles reck? Were they shot at or what,?
Motorcyclist here. Shit happens. Particularly when riding at close quarters. Often the motorcycle cops are local. They’re great riders but not Presidential regulars. So nerves count. Getting on the interstate. Sounds like a “shit happens” moment to me. I assume they’re fine.
