That’s brilliant. I doubt it has anything to do with the advertising that the border was/is going to be shut down. Every coyote and undecided immigrant ran to the border after that. He treats the border like a Macy’s store closing sale.
Yesterday a CBP official told me they planned to release the new border apprehension numbers tomorrow. They weren't on track to be good... The president blamed the recent surge in border crossings on Nielsen and had grown increasingly frustrated.
