90% of Special Olympics funding is through charitable means, not Government funding. It's amazing that people are acting like the Government is mandating we shut down the program. Why can't it be privately funded?
The Trump administration's Special Olympics snafu is by no means a laughing matter, but was such a preventable political misstep it was practically written for an episode of Veep. Special Olympics is one of the most beloved organizations on the planet -- why mess with that?
