So, you know how lately @YouTube has been doing that cute thing where they DISABLE COMMENTS ON CHANNELS under the guise they they’re “protecting minors from exploitation”? Yeah well, they’ve just disabled the comments on an INCREDIBLE channel called Special Books by Special Kids+

SBSK is an amazing channel that features people of all ages with different disabilities in order to give them a platform to use their voice, and to create an avenue for the world to communicate back to them. This is their video explaining the situation:https://youtu.be/Wy7Tvo-q63o

Not only does this channel not even explicitly feature minors, but I also have NEVER seen negative or exploitative comments under ANY of their videos. Since I can’t pull proof from their video comments anymore, here are some from their community tab. It speaks for itself.pic.twitter.com/UJoooXnzfV

The love and acceptance cultivated by
@chrisulmer and SBSK are unlike anything I’ve ever seen. This channel is truly one of, if not THE MOST accepting platforms in one of the easiest places to be awful to someone: the internet.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likesShow this thread -
Unfortunately some of the people featured on this channel have passed away, and as Chris states in the video, loved ones often would go back and read the comments to see how much the world loved them. To have that taken away is a horrible thing. I can’t even explain how upsetting

Seriously, just go watch some of SBSK’s videos. You’ll understand why they truly NEED and DESERVE their comments section. Also, please watch this video and sign the petition linked in the description. Please help this channel. They really deserve it.https://youtu.be/Wy7Tvo-q63o
