Lifehack: git config --global alias.investigate 'blame -s' Suppress the author name and timestamp from the output.
@marvinpinto svn had it right-ish, where the verb was "annotate" with both "blame" and "praise" as synonyms.

@mendel@marvinpinto I always thought “blame” was a very bad verb for what it was doing. SVN’s annotate is more descriptive.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
