Q for experienced programmers (multipart because urls and quoting). I was reading this article: http://lifehacker.com/what-i-wish-i-knew-when-i-started-my-career-as-a-softwa-1681002791 … (1/4)
So: How does that connect with your experience with Good Programming Jobs, about how much independence or oversight you have? (4/4)

@mendel isn't that true with all jobs (non tech too)? I always think Alignment and Autonomy need to go hand in hand. -
@freshrichard I got a ton of good responses but basically I read “your own time” to be a bit more independent than the author intended

@mendel How was yesterday, what's today, and what do you need help with (scrum) isn't about trust and direction. Direction is after sprint. -
@BradJMurray I see — I think I read the article as “days to weeks of no feedback in either direction”. Independence, but not surprises. - 1 more reply

@mendel I expect my team to need no additional direction for weeks. The very brief daily status of the scrum is not about direction, though.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
