@erinsopran The doorknob, instead of turning, is fixed in place?1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@mendel It's lodged in place to the right, unscrews from the mechanism entirely to the left. Neither has any effect on opening the door.2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -

@erinsopran One of the old-house type? There’s probably a little set screw underneath that’s loose, if the handle unscrews.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@mendel I think that's what they tightened... I've tried both tightening further & loosening. When tight the knob just doesn't turn at all.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@erinsopran sounds like the problem is in the hardware inside the door, and not the knob, then :( Are the hinges on your side of the door?2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -

@mendel Currently waiting for some WD-40 to work its way into the knob bit I can access... might help??2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes
@erinsopran so you could take the doorknob off (being very careful not to let the shaft fall through to the other side of the door!!!) [1/?]
