Got our old DSLR (Rebel XSi) going as a webcam, and I appreciate the ~AESTHETIC~ but it’s hard to get it really close to the screen like a built-in webcam is. I have a WEBINAR in a couple weeks so might use it for that but not for daily meetingspic.twitter.com/qfjKXX0scT
ok here’s a tech q for you: i see you use a USB mic, what do you do for monitoring audio? do speakers interfere? (aka how can I do a talk without headphones in?)

okay, well I don't *really* use a USB mic...I have an XLR that goes into a USB audio interface. And I have headphones that connect to that interface. I never was someone who has to hear myself, so the headphones are basically just so I don't have the speakers hitting it.

ah, but if you’re on a panel or something, you’re getting audio via headphones? and yeah I suppose I meant “a non-headset mic”
