I’ve been getting a LOT of questions about what mechanical keyboards one should buy, and wanted to give a heads up on a group buy that just started!
This is a premium board called the Candy Bar, and doesn’t require soldering to build

For those who don’t know, a group buy is where a group of people go in on something to buy it, and as a result it becomes cheaper to manufacture. A lot of mechanical keyboard parts are bought this way, because it’s still pretty niche.

Have you used a split spacebar like this before? Does it differ in feel in any way over a single spacebar?

usually you bind one half of the spacebar to backspace or shift or fn or something. with no number row on the candybar, fn is probably popular (fn+q gets 1, etc.)
