Sarah although cute the folks at the food banks are desperate for food and its going to get worse I would highly encourage folks to donate directly to a box at their local grocery, to Parkdale Food Bank or The Stop of the Sharing Place folks in need go directly to these places

one problem with Little Free Libraries is they tend to be in well-off, and white, neighbourhoods, but the “literacy deserts” tend to be in poorer, racialized neighbourhoods. tl;dr there are organizations that are experts in mutual aid and how to serve disadvantaged communities, support them and trust their expertise
