btw i’m pretty sure what’s happening here is that sellers are using the same amazon listing for different items, either through some software error or so they can amass good reviews for things and then sell shitty things on the same listing

I ended up buying the Belkin one which is MFI-approved, sold on Apple’s site, and apparently actually works, which is a feature I would definitely pay 3x the price for (I’m also just now upgrading from an iPhone 6s so I’m bitter about giving up my headphone jack)pic.twitter.com/9JMunTjRjk

I see this all the time. It's the typical "chinese company sells new garbage every month" listing. If there's already reviews they don't have to start from scratch and it's found more often.
