Our cats are mad at each other (redirected aggression, TWICE, sigh) and so we have them separated and taking turns in the office BUT both of them yell when they get bored. HEY CAT IN A ROOM YOU LEFT A CAT IN HERE FYI CAT LOCKED IN this would be much easier without the guilt

Oh, Carmen had that as an extension of some anxiety issues. :( But she took it out on the humans, never on Lily or Moxley.

total opposite here — the other day stacey was growly at stella, and i picked her up to put her in The Room, and she just kind of went limp, like she knew the game was up. she NEVER lets us pick her up

While none of it is fun, if you can just pick one up and separate them early on, it is a little easier. Do you have Feliway diffusers or Rescue Remedy?

Yeah I think we were letting them hang out together too long. Now we’re letting them eat together (they eat side by side with no problem! it’s just when they have spare time to think about it that they get in a staring contest) and then separated otherwise for now
