Wait, does the TTC not want commuters to be on transit past the transfer window without re-tapping? Does it actually say anywhere that commuters can be fined for being on transit for "too long"? @TTChelpshttps://twitter.com/MetroManTO/status/1233498470364958727 …

With the two hour transfer you are allowed to enter and exit the TTC as much as you want within that period. As long as you are within two hours from your first tap you won’t get charged another fare. 1/2

Replying to @hmacmillanbrown @TTChelps and
If your transfer expires while you are on a vehicle you do not have to tap until you transfer again - at that point you would be charged another fare. We are working with
@PRESTOcard to introduce a transfer screen showing how much time is left.4 replies 1 retweet 12 likes
This is a good clarification, but it contradicts the official account and it's buried in a long, angry thread. This needs a new top-level @ttchelps tweet (and probably more PR to back it up now.)
I really hope this _is_ the policy, though.

It is the policy and I will ensure our staff are reminded of how it works when I’m back in the office on Monday.
