I'm shopping Buddhist forums to participate in, but they're all so problematic - twitter <crickets> - forums - mostly debate w/o a framework (no common ground rules, some want to debate to the orthodox answer, some not, some just want to tell you you're wrong...)

I have gone through this before to no avail too. Would love to hear what you find.

Try the more obscure subreddits: http://Reddit.com/r/dharmastudy , /r/dharmapractive, /r/vajrayana, /r/chan etc. Not a huge amount of posts individually, but better on aggregate and good discussions

Thanks for this - I spend lots of (well-curated!) time on Reddit and the popular Buddhist-related subreddits are tragedies of the commons, so it hadn’t occurred to me to look closer.
