For folks who have done on-call, when on-call do you expect alerts/support calls to alert you to all events that need to be handled?

Hm, I can try? I think I’ve internalized enough about our infrastructure that I can tell when it’s “running rough” without a specific alert or direct request from other engineers about something being wrong 1/
