The language of "field-building" and "communities of practice" is perhaps more comfortable for grant-makers than newsroom leaders, but this is a great example of how you do both in a way that works for journalism orgs.

So many lessons here. The one sitting with me rn? The team defined their “done” so early on. They worked tirelessly for 3 years to get to this beautiful and bittersweet sunsetting of one of journalism’s most important projects.

Our body of work is a synthesis of what newsrooms around the world are learning about membership. We’ve been on a journey of discovery together. We couldn’t have done this work without you, and we are looking forward to seeing how you continue the work without MPP. /END
