Passed an SCDOT sign today that said “530 deaths. Don’t text and drive. It’s the law. 1615 #COVID19 deaths & we can’t even require masks by law. #VoteforMelissa #FlipSC07.

No one said this week. 530 deaths on SC highways this year attributed to texting and driving. 1615 total COVID deaths.

I meant I thought it was higher. I'm not sure our numbers are accurate at all. I appreciate your accident reference but accidents are not contagious. Don't wear your seatbelt you may kill you. Don't wear a mask/quarantine you may kill us both. I'm dissapointed in our governor.

The SCDOT sign was regarding texting and driving. If you text and drive, you're putting those around you at risk. Much like we do when not wearing masks. Wearing a seatbelt and not texting while driving are both enforceable laws in SC.
