We have just been so focused on this last GOTV push, etc. that we got away from issue-oriented emails. I miss them. Megan said to me she would take the lead on drafting this email, and she would write it because she was Asian-American. I had no idea.
Her tone said that this was important to her so I said sure. This is a powerful email. Stories like Megan’s underscores why I am in this race. EVERY AMERICAN DESERVES A VOICE! No one should have to highlight or prove that they are American because of how they look.
Hate knows no bounds, and people who support hate or are complicit in it must go!! Xenophobia is unacceptable. This is America, and I am fighting for every single American to be included in its greatness. I am fighting for America to uphold its promise to EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US.
