I remember in 4th grade our librarian made us all try to recreate the nazi flag on Microsoft paint and whoever had the most accurate version won. In hindsight this seems like a terrible activity.
Wow. As a teacher can I try to make sense of this? Was there a lesson about the power of propaganda? Did you discuss the evils of the Holocaust? Were you comparing the US & Nazi flags? Something?

It definitely was a lesson about WWII and how strict the Nazi party was towards people. Whoever made the most accurate flag would’ve “passed.”
