Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night nor City Hall-imposed state of emergency in the middle of a pandemic will keep the naked cowboy from doing his thing in Times Square. Bless this city.

(This does not bode well for my mother’s scheduled - but not yet canceled - vaccine appointment in midtown today.)

I've been getting a lot of questions about the proposed California ethnic studies curriculum over the last handful of days. Here's everything you need to know:

Anyone who has been to Delhi can tell you the serious security concerns of the Jewish community. It's almost impossible to find the Delhi Chabad, buried deep in a crowded market. No signs to guide you — because that would be like putting a bullseye on the back of the city's Jews.

For the past few years, we've discussed moving my grandmother to a nursing home upstate. She is very stubborn (it's genetic) and has always refused. Having in-home, 24/7 care has been a huge financial burden, but hard to argue it wasn't the right choice.

An annoyed "What is wrong with you? What the fuck is going on on this train?" is such an incredibly New York reaction to something as wild as a man dressed as Chucky trying to steal your bag.

A heartbreaking read on Holocaust Remembrance Day: Ten months in, survivors in Israel experience high rates of post-traumatic stress, fear and loneliness. “I haven’t been able to breathe the air for months,” one said. “It is like I’m back in prison."
