They published it. They hired him from out of state to write a piece about sf crime. No one in sf cares about Johnson. They care about what they’re local paper is doing.

Are there people who liked his piece? Sure. And a few yrs ago, it prob would have been the majority of San Franciscans. Today, I think most San Franciscans think his piece is out of touch w reality.

I think most SFs will not read the piece of have any opinion on it at all. I also have enough faith in humanity that I believe most people will not, like you, scream "NO! WE MUST KEEP STEALING FROM THE WORKERS AND NEVER WRITE ABOUT IT!"

Again, I'm directly disputing your claim that an opinion piece in the SFC would result in the majority of the people in the city having any opinion at all, because most of them will have literally no contact with this article or anything else in the SFC chronicle this week.
