A depressing thread. This is something that every lawyer could do something to change. Ours is a self-regulating profession. There is no reason to just accept that state bars will not impose discipline for serious misconduct by prosecutors. (1/x) Her tweet is total bs. The State Bar of CA launches an investigation into every complaint it gets. So, as a starting pt, her tweet is wrong. What she means to say is they aren’t filing a complaint based on the investigation and she brings up Jamal Trulove as an example.

Oh, and the cases I’m talking about in SF where the state bar issued disciplined it was actual suspension of their licenses.
