Breaking: The U.S. having committing genocide against Native Americans, and its horrific legacy of slavery, does not in any way explain, minimize, justify, legitimize, or excuse Beijing's genocide against the Uyghurs.

Diplomatic boycott of is most welcome but not enough. Nations should withdraw their national flags so athletes can attend, compete under the Olympic flag and still win medals. The bears full responsibility for this mess for awarding games to a genocidal nation.

In 1936 there was plausible deniability — no drone footage of concentration camps, for example. In 2021, we are choosing to look away from efforts to extinguish a minority population in China. There is no excuse or explanation that justifies the Olympics in Beijing

This incredibly important legislation passed by 428-1! The United States must stand up for its values and make it clear that we will not be complicit in the internment and forced labor of Uyghur Muslims.

Breaking News: The House has passed the Uyghyur Forced Labor Prevention Act. As Co-Chair of the Uyghur Caucus & Commissioner in the , I worked to bring this leg to the floor. What's happening in Xinjiang should shock everyone's conscience & must be addressed immediately.

3 months ago I gave my witness testimony on behalf of my husband at the Uyghur Tribunal. Today the official verdict was given & there's no surprise here; China is guilty of committing genocide against the Uyghurs.

This beautiful, sweet, kind, hilarious, loving human being is my whole damn world. He is NOT nor was he EVER a terrorist. He doesn't deserve to be locked away, punished & separated from his loved ones. His only crime is being an Uyghur.

All these people talking shit, you couldn't survive a day in my shoes. To lose the love of your life, not once but 3x and then to find out he's been given 25 years for no proper reason... To say it's taken a toll on me is the understatement of the century.
